YEP (Youth Empowerment Project) was launched in 2007 in the East End of Tortola to serve youngsters between the age of 10 and 15. Today there are over 116 registered members at YEP.  There are approximately 3 males to each female attending YEP.  Members pay no registration or annual fees. YEP relies heavily on volunteers and community support. No member attending YEP this far has dropped out of school. The YEP Center is open from the closure of the school day until sunset. During the summer months YEP members are exposed to numerous activities ranging from team building exercises to water sports and environmental sciences.
